Is reading books your favorite hobby? Like, you enjoy reading and letting the books take you to another world.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there is a way to earn by reading books. It’s not very well-known or has many openings but there are many websites where you can apply to as a book reader or as a book reviewer.

I think this is the ultimate book reader guide, where you can monetize book-reading.
Number one is being a book reviewer, and the next one is being a book reader. What you do as a book reviewer is, you’ll read books, and you’ll offer your honest opinion, or you’ll summarize it, or you give it a review, based on what you read. So that’s the book reviewer. The book reader, as the name suggests, you’ll read books out loud. You will be paid for that.

What are the requirements?

The requirements are simple, your internet, your computer or your phone. Of course, the last one is good English comprehension skills.

Most of the websites are on a freelancing basis, it means that it’s based on the kind of book that you’ll be reading, the kind of rate that the company offers, and how long or short it is. There’s no set rate.

BOOK REVIEWING:

1. Reedsy discovery
Reedsy discover doesn’t really pay but you can be tipped. So you’re going to be paid on a tip basis, which is usually around $1 to $3, or even $5. So it depends on the author’s appreciation, or of the people who’ll read your review. So these are sites for book reviewers.

2. Online book club
It is legit. Their pay-range per review is from $5 to $60 again, it depends on the kind of document and length that you’ll review.

3. Writerful books
They pay you from $10 to $50 per review.

4. Booklist publications
They pay you $12.50 to $15 per review.

5. Women’s review of books
The pay here is $100 per review.

6. Instaread
Instead of reviewing is you’ll summarize the book. You will be paid $100 for that. Your pay will depend according to the book that you’re going to be reviewing. Their final offer depends on many factors, the overall volume, the length of the book, the subject’s difficulty, and what is required of the review.

7. Kirkus media
Great place for freelance reviewers. Pays promptly.

8. US review of books
U.S. Review of Books is a nation-wide organization that reviews books of all kinds and publishes those reviews in a popular monthly newsletter.

9. Get Abstract
Summarizes 18,000+ nonfiction books into 10-minute bites. Pays on a freelance basis.

10. Publishers weekly
Publishers weekly is a US-based company. They also pay you on a freelance basis

11. Astronomy magazine
Basically, they aren’t offering jobs but you can pitch your idea. You can present your ideas for an article and if they like it, then you can get paid for it.

12. The writer
You also need to pitch to the editor the content that you want to publish in their publications. They can pay you if they like it.

13. Tomoson

Tomoson is for social media influencers. You can pick a product or a book to review. Then, you will get that product, or book, or even get paid for it.

BOOK READERS:

1. ACX:

ACX is owned by Audible, an Amazon Company. Therefore, it's 100% legit. It pays you in three methods: Per finished hour, Royalty share, Royalty share plus.

2. Voice Bunny:

Voice Bunny is the fastest, most reliable, and efficient voiceover platform. Each voice actor has different rates.

So, all you have to do there is read the books aloud, record yourself, and they’re going to pay you for the recording. There will be an audition. Just to set your expectation.

MAKE MONEY! I HOPE IT MEETS YOUR NEEDS…
